What careers should we highlight?

Organizations are encouraged to register to feature a broad range of careers, including roles in direct patient care, diagnostics, emergency response, behavioral health, rehabilitation, senior care, dental care, technology, operations, administration and other essential support functions.

Question 3

How do we know what occupation we will highlight in our activity?

Accepted Answer

When you register, you tell us which occupation(s) you can highlight. One month before the event, we will share with you what part of the patient care scenario you will be featured in. Based on that, you will bring a hands-on activity to showcase the occupation. Prior businesses have brought CPR dummies, physical therapy tools, mock-up EKG reports and other real world examples of the occupation in action.

How long should our activity last?

Each activity showcases one occupation in the industry. It should take participants five minutes or less to complete.

How do we keep students engaged?

Accepted Answer

Bring an interactive activity based on the occupation you are assigned.Use plain language, minimize lectures, invite questions, and give students something meaningful to see, touch, practice, or solve.Be prepared to answer student questions, and ask them questions like, “How do you think this tool is used in the field?”

Who will we be connecting with?

Students in grades 7-12 are invited to participate, along with their families. You may be interacting with as many as 100 students through the course of the event.

Is there a cost to participate?

Accepted Answer

There is no registration fee. Exhibitors will need to purchase the materials they use for their hands-on activity or any student giveaways.
