In collaboration with existing local resources, the West Michigan Health Career Council (WMHCC) plans to encourage health care careers, develop needed talent, help retain skilled talent and promote industry outreach.

GROWING TALENT

WMHCC is advancing demand-driven, evidence-based career pathways to support health care careers.

RETAINING TALENT

WMHCC works to find ways to help healthcare employees stay within the industry or at their organization.

DEVELOPING TALENT

WMHCC offers U.S. DOL Registered Apprenticeship programs and can connect employers with training fund opportunities.

INDUSTRY OUTREACH & PROMOTION

WMHCC works with employers and community partners to encourage individuals to consider careers in health care.

ABOUT US

The West Michigan Health Careers Council (WMHCC) is an employer-led collaborative effort to build a pipeline of health care talent by: 

  • developing pools of qualified candidates,

  • utilizing proven assessment tools,

  • engaging in training programs,

  • opening access to training funding streams

  • and more.
